Weather was perfect today (looking good for the solar eclipse tomorrow) so I went for a little walk and encountered this rare (at least over here) bird.

I have to just compare this to seeing a Rover here in the states. Meaningless to anyone who lives where it was sold, but awesome to someone living in a market where it wasn't. So, with that in mind, neat find.

Can you actually see the eclipse that far south in Germany, a total one I mean..?

The best thing about those Buick's like that are the seats! They are the most comfortable seats I have ever sat in. My buddy used to have one and I could stretch out and sleep nicely in the back seat after a night of drinking.

Nope, only 70%. We had the total eclipse in '99, so I still got those stupid glasses.

Yeah, I got a bit curious.. I was pretty sure we'd only get a partial one up here :P But a 70% one is more than I'd expect down there, guess I'll try to find MY glasses and be outside tomorrow then.
Edit: well, seems like we'll have snow at that time tomorrow.. damn.

Probably one of the most comfortable and reliable cars GM ever made... These things are still everywhere even though the newest ones are at least 15 years old now. The oldest ones are 23 years old and most are still plying the roads in various states of disarray with hundreds of thousands of miles on those old 3800 engines. I could imagine how rare they are outside North America.
